Compression test B18B out of car

Anyone ever compression test a B18B motor while it is out of the car? If yes, let me know how. Thanks.

you got the motor and trans bolted up?
and the starter bolted in?

hook up a booster box/jumper box/battery with jumper cables direct to the starter and pull your compression numbers that way

they could be extremely incorrect if the motor hasn;t ran in a long time...

I Used jumper cables from my other car while it was running to check my motor before I intalled it.

Good luck.

Just run a leakdown test- you can do that without needing anything hooked up except the head and block.
