So I have a tape drive backup for our network drives that runs everynight...

Recently its not been complete-ing
i look at the log and it starts at 9pm when it should, but then no more record
and when i come in in the morning my computer is on, but logged off...?

any ideas?

if theres nothing in the event viewer, i think the easiest way to troubleshoot this is to stay late one night and watch it (or schedule it earlier one night)

see, i don't think its a problem with the backup...

i think its a problem with my machine...
whats the chances some from a remote location can log-off my computer?
or whats the chances there's some setting that will do it

i think i have disabled all "sleep" mode and screensaver things...

it doesn't log off every night either..
very confusing

you might have a network login batch file that does it, or reboots your machine every night....

but still, if its just logging you off, the process should still run...

try locking the machine tonight, not log off. ctrl_alt_del -> lock

so it must not be logging off, it must be rebooting itself...?
wtf?

it ran fine lastnight and i did nothing special...
i;m baffled...
