if you have a windows disc, just pop it in, navigate to d: whatever the the drive is and ctrl + f that bitch to find that exe to copy/paste over

I dunno if I have the disk. It came loaded on my comp. Also, this is a gadget that I down loaded a few years ago. Its work fine up until now.

problem with that is they may be *.xx_ and you would have to run expand command in an elevated prompt.

So, since the problem is with one of the program files being corrupt, and I dont care if I loose the notes I had, can I just delete those files and be in the clear? Or would there be other files somewhere else that might give me trouble?

Theoretically yes. The error you reported is a corrupt Sticky Notes file.
