Confused about swap

I have a 96 Civic EX that has a blown up motor. I need to replace the old motor (d16y8) and saw an opportunity to do a swap. Problem is I don't have a clue what will work in that car without going psychotic on my wallet. It is a daily driver but I also feel the need for speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

a b18b1 from an Integra LS will plug in nicely, and not be too rough on your wallet.

I have the same car and I am doing a turbo'd B18 and I am very pleased with just all motor right now, but I am a speed freak and I like to bust little punks ass around here that have an intake and headers that think they are 2 fast and not so furious. B18 swap very good swap and cheap. Maybe even turbo it later

You just have to shop around for good prices, I say go with the GSR, regardless of what you want to do in the future.
