Cool Down Damit!

Just bought a 94 civic lx with 168k on it for my daily driver.It ran fine for about a week until it started to overheat.I replaced the thermostat, new coolant and made sure the fan was working.The water pump was replaced before I bought the car.What the hell could it be?

Well, check the radiator cap..may not be pressurizing the system. Also check for clogged radiator and/or heater core, if it is warm all around then you find a cool spot then it's clogged. Another possibilty could be a bad thermostat or one opening at the wrong temp.

what size rad are you running? sometimes you need to swap it out for a bigger one if you have a diffrent engine

check your overflow for oil. you probably have a blown headgasket.
