So im tryin to take a d16z6 and drop it back into my new Eg6 from my crx. So here are a few questions im trying to find a few answers

    1. Can i re-use the crx shiftlinkage for the d16z6 on my EG, or do i need a "new" shift linkage?

    2. If i need a "new" shift linkage, i found one listed for an EX, but mine is an SI. Will it still work?

    3. Does the Si harness off an EG6 come vtec ready, i think the D16z6's came from the SI's, but ive read you'd need to wire up Vtec for the d16z6.. is that true?

    4. Will any Ef suspension parts fit an EG6 at all? I have a bunch of performance parts on my EF, didnt wanna have to sell them if i could reuse somehow.

    5. Will aftermarket motor mounts affect inspections?

Thanks guys, just a few of questions ive been searching for a little bit and failed to find answers.

Im not sure the shift linkage will work.

If you want it I think I have a shift linkage for that car, just let me know I will let you have it cheap.

Yes the SI harness has vtec wired in it.

Some parts of the suspension might work, one way to check would be just to hold it up the the car and check, or call honda and match the part numbers on stock parts.

And no the mounts won't affect inspections..

Let me get out to my parents and find the shift linkage. I will only charge you shipping plus a few extra bucks for the part..

No problem. I wouldn't ship out bad parts. I have a 100% rating on ebay I sell a lot of parts on there as of other things also.. I bought a shift linkage from California and thats the first thing I asked too...

    1. I believe the CRX linkage will work, not 100% sure.

    2. If it's from an EG (92-95 civic) then it doesnt matter what model its from. DX to EX, Si all use the same linkages.

    3. an OEM Z6 si harness is wired for VTEC. If the engine harness is from a REAL EG6/SIR1 it will not work in your car. That specific harness is made for RHD. However if its a del Sol VTEC (usdm) engine harness is also wired for VTEC and a Knock Sensor cuz the P30 looks for a KS. Other than that you're good.

    4. What parts specifically?

    5. Safety/DMV inspections? No. You'll be fine.

The coilovers will, but will have to adjust ride hieght once isntalled. EG/DC shocks are a different length than EF. As for the camber kit, is it the Front upper camber kit? if so, I would advise against using it. the suspension geometry will be off and will never be "correct" if you use EF stuff on an EG.

I used DC UCA's on my DA it caused a weird caster angle, I think (could have been toe, I cant remember that was a long time ago). Which couldnt be corrected no matter what I did (until I got the correct parts of course)
