    2011 Honda CR-Z Hybrid R Concept

Honda has big plans for campaigning a turbocharged, race-bred CR-Z at the upcoming 24 Hours of Thunderhill,
and while that car is all kinds of right, it's about as far from a street-legal machine as a hybrid can get.
Fortunately, the company's engineers and designers have joined forces to give us all an idea
what the car would look like in road-going guise with the CR-Z Hybrid R Concept.

Like it's track-only brethren, the concept rocks 200 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque thanks to a little forced induction and
an upgraded integrated motor assist system. Throw in a robust clutch, limited slip differential and a fully adjustable suspension and
you've got the makings for a true sport hybrid. Hit the jump for the press release.

    Yeah, old.

    It's an engineer's pet project.

By engineer, I mean a Honda engineer's project, like the formula D element.

I just love the huge billet exhaust tips. And the front end. Shit I just dig it.

I still hate the CR-Z front end; it just looks too big for the car.

The brakes are probably fine, it's just the wheels dwarf them.

they really should make a non-hybrid type R version of the CRZ. a 200+ hp k series would be fun and couldnt be that hard to make it happen.

200 Hp is fine for an endurance race. Especially on a Hybrid car. I would think they would want it to finish the race instead of just being able to go real fast for an hour before it blew up.

A different front bumper cover could make the car look so much better. Someone needs to get rid of the "bull" nose

Hybrid being a factor would actually depend if the hybrid motor can actually assist on acceleration(similar to F1 cars) or if it's designed just for stop-n-go traffic. If it doesn't do anything, it's just added weight.

Also, if it's the stock motor, 200hp is pretty decent as it would be comparable to a turbo SOHC D15. You also have to assume they were aiming for engine response and power under curve instead of just peak horsepower.
