At what point should one start considering an upgraded crank?

if you really want to do something to the crank, take it out along with your whole bottom end and get everything balanced.. maybe even micropolish it

IMO, there is no need to do anything to the crank.
at the point where one would need it, you would have already put in a stroker kit

There is no need to upgrade you crank the stock honda crank can with stand a lot of HP.
