    for people in florida: There is another comfort ship being set up, scheduled to leave from Miami on tuesday... they need volunteers to serve as TRANSLATORS for a month. we would stay on the ship the whole time... there is an orientation session in Miami on Monday already. so not a whole lot of time to "think about it". if you have any questi......ons, contact Jackie at 786-514-4532 who works with the red cross

    yeah..it was right under the island so so far 13 aftershocks and counting, they're saying it might last all month

    damn. i live in san francisco. there have been sooooo many earthquakes lately. i think we are due for a big one soon.:hide::shocking:

    Damn thats crazy...unfortunately there is no building code in Haiti. Most of the buildings are simply built with concrete without any reinforcements.

    When I was there I saw lots of buildings that had crumbled for whatever reason and were just left in ruins. I can't imagine what the rest of Port-au-Prince must look like right now.
