cruise control problem

ok i do not know if i am in the right section or not but i have a 97 civic the problem i have is that my cruise control all of a sudden stopped working about 5 days ago it worked just fine then the next day i turn on the main switch and it lights up then i push the set button to set the speed and the light on the console that says cruise control did not come on and still will not come on and it does nto engage the cruise control i have checked and the vacuum line is connected and i have checked the fuse under the dash that said cruise control and it was not blown any other fuses i should check or any suggestions as to why this is all of a sudden happening

if you are inclined pull the button off and see if the little button thingy underneath the regular button see if its broken cuz i have a 95 del sol and the button broke one me and i just pulled it off and stuck and little peg thing in it and not it works
