I am looking to buy an CRX SI engine and tranny from a guy. He also said he would give me an extra DX engine he had around. How do I know the tranny is from the SI and not the DX. The only real difference between the two are gears. I am looking into serial numbers or any numbers stamped on the tranny.

Anyone know the difference in numbers betwen the DX and SI tranny??
Are the splines different?? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks!

don't go by the numbers - just check for the gears by turning input and counting turns for one turn of the differential
