1) 03 Cobra (altho i hate ford) runs 12.2, with et streets, will dip to 11.9 or so. STOCK
2) MTI has some DAILY DRIVEN 9 second LS1's
3) John Lingenfelter has a daily driven 10 second corvette and a 8.95 street driven vette. Along with a 10 second, 0-60 in 2.8 second, AWD ls1 TT GMC Sonoma
Must I continue? I will 1 more, its not running 10 or 9's yet, but a friend has a 94 fullsize chevy with a ls6 block and ls1 internals, ran it on stock all terrains, 3200 stall and tuning and got 13.9 from it. Add regular street tires and would probably go faster. Now he has slicks for the track, 4.11 gears with an Auburn diff and high stall.. Id guesstimate around 13.5 now.

Hopefully, after we get play time and we get the ls1/TT setup dropped into my truck, i'll blaz faster than the 10.8 mark i'm shooting for. Daily driven, getting 23+ mpg in a V8.
Let me just add something. When people with domestic cars compare their cars to Hondas they always do it in their favor. Why is that? Why do they take their fastest Ford car...i.e. Mustang Cobra and compare it to Hondas (almost) weakest car like a civic. Why dont you see them comparing their precious Mustangs against the S2000? Or maybe the NSX. So to make it fair we should just just compare our weakest links. How about a Civic CX versus a Ford Aspire? THINK ABOUT IT!
P.S. You gotta realize that Civics are meant to be Economy cars. A Mustang is meant for power and I guess to waste gas as well. Or we can try another FORD VS. Honda Race....A Civic against an Escort...or would a Focus be more fair?!

because 99% of the time it is a civic/integra/other slow honda driver that talks shit about their "fast" honda. I think its just because of the ratios of civics to other, faster, hondas that they are compared with mustangs/camaros/trans ams/etc.
i think alot of people have lost the point of tuning cars now. A car is a car for god sake people, if you want it to go fast then you have the same goal as the domestic people. I dont see why there is such a spilt between import/domestics when if you look at it we all have the same goal. make the car faster. so what they do it with a big v8 or a turbo 6. just because our cars are slower to beging with doesnt mean we dont deseve respect for at least trying to make it quicker, and vice versa.
