A friend of mine had a B16A2 that he had planned on swapping into an EG6, unfortunately the car was crushed by some 17 year old punk in his mom's X5. So he sold the engine and picked up an EK hatch for a new project.
In any case, he's got a set of (nib) Genuine Honda CTR pistons with rings sitting in the garage. He said I can have the set for $250 (he's got the receipt for $300).
So I'm wondering, is there any advantage to putting the CTR pistons in my (2000) Si? Are they any better? More power? I know the U.S. engines, but I'm currently JDM Honda-illiterate.
Also, the headgasket, whats the stock thickness?
