What ever happened to war heroes and Generals running for public office? And McCain doesn't count, he's now been a politician for 30 something years.
the problem is they keep blaming the war shortcomings on the generals and commanders and forcing them into retirement, scape-goating
so how can "disgraced" military personnel run for office?
and why would they want to, they probably have had enough of the red tape by now

i would say that they would rather be remebered as a hero then a government official... because when i hear that term i think corruption.. good old uncle sam just isnt what he used to be for sure
