D series harness on b series engine

So this may be a stupid question but I have searched hi and low and cannot find the answer. Can I use the engine harness off of the d series engine I pulled and wire in the vtec pins to make it work along with the 2 wire crank sensor or do I need the b series harness? Everyone is saying that this engine is plug and play but I have yet to get this thing to run! Thank you in advance to any and all help

yeah the D series harness works on a B series provided that it is the same OBD or you have swapped the necessary plugs over and lengthened the necessary wires for the plugs that dont reach

im using my modified D series harness on my B swap
