read the post "is this a good idea" where ef9civicgen4 said you can make a d series fast , ESPECIALLY if its not vtec...

just wondering why the especially if its not vtec....
i have a dx and was planning on doing a DPFI to MPFI and then a z6 head and turbo...

just wondering if i should go non vtec for the turbo application...

when working with the D series motors, the SOHC vtec motors are actually probably a better choice. I have heard that they are actually very strong. D15s on the other hand tend to break rods and put holes in the block.

whoa

we've got a genius on our hands folks...

slow but a good alternative on a budget...

got a 95 teg with H22 for uber speed...
just looking to boost and blow a D series

That seems to be a little opinionated. I drove a b16 worked over n/a and I drive a d15 vtec not quite as modded. I still run with most of the same cars, P/W ratio notwithstanding I feel like the little engine actually 60fts better and has more low end as crazy as that sounds. For a budget and good driveability don't knock the D.

thanks for the tardcart comment of the day.

You can push a D series to about 200hp with a budget turbo kit. You'll be smoking anyone with I/H/E, thats for sure.
