D15 block w/ D16z6 head, cam gear needed?

I have read and am trying to confirm if I will need an adjustable cam gear for a Z6 head on a D15 block...

I heard the adj cam gear is needed to correct the timing?

does anyone know of a write up for DPFI to D16Z6?
been looking but can only find one or the other, not both...
