I put a d15b in place of my AUTO d16y7.

-I have it running off my stock y7 ecu as NOONE makes a obd2b-obd1 conversion harness for AUTOMATIC cars.

-The engine runs but after a minute or two sounds as though it is about to die. What could this be? (map sensor?)

-Would a y8 ecu work better?

-Will the y7 or y8 ecu harm my motor?

-Can I do anything to the motor to make it run off a y8 ecu? Timing etc?

I'm a longtime member of clubcivic.com and 780tuners.com but this is my first time here. You all seem to know alot so I thought I'd drop by and get help / give help!

This is a tricky situation. My shop installed the motor cause they're all noobs..I was told tog et a d15 ecu, which I did.. (auto too).. and know they wont put it inc ause i need a conversion harness which was never part of the deal.. They charged me more and wont give me the prmised 90 day warranty.. HELP ME! lol.

Here's the shortened version:

-Will a y7 run my d15b, just without vtec?
-Will a y8 work better?
-Where and how can I get a obd2b-obd1 converison harness for an AUTO!
