D15B Q`s

i`m curious .. If you have a standard d15b (92ps) ... and change the cylinderhead with a jdm d15b vtec, complete with dizzy etc... Will this turn the engine into a a similar jdm 130bhp version ? (obviously running propper vtec wiring and ecu)
Does the block have to do with the mod too or not ?

Did i get it right ?

block is mostly the same, put the pistons are different.

the d15b is VERY similar to the z6.

Block is the same, whats different is the rods and piston. The D15B VTEC is more similar to the D15Z1 block; they use D16-sized rods.

Right, what about the specs of a JDM vtec-e engine ? Would it be the same as its USDM counterparts ? i`m almost sure this engine has got the same block and pistons as a d15b vtec or 3 stage d15b ..anyone ?
