I was thinking about buying a d15b8 block with high compression pistons and rings with the d16y8 head for 300$. I was just wondering what kind of power i'd be getting out of this and if it's even worth the 300$

you would be better off just buying the d16y8.

your infamous d15b8 only pushes 70hp stock. and with just higher compression you wouldnt really get alot out of the engine.

but this is just opinion. considering im a guy who is switching d15b head, pistions, rods and crank, into a d15z1 block. do some research and figure what you would really like to get out of your motor.

maybe you should search a mini me. if you put the y8 head on itd be pretty much the same as a y8 with a slightly higher compression
