so has anyone ever figured out if a d17 crank will fit into a d16 bottom end? To be more specific, I've got a '94 civic EX with the stock motor/trans in it, and I just got an opportunity to pick up an '01 d17 bottom end complete for about $0- a friend of mine works at a Honda dealer and this motor came out of a car under warranty but the motor was never called back for inspection by Honda.
I'm eventually planning a B-swap, but for the meantime if I can snag this d17 for pretty much nothing, my z6 could definitely use a little more torque...
anyone?
