D16 into 90 civic

will a D16z6 shortblock work with a d15b1 head. I'm not worried about hp rightnow just need to get it back on the road.

the D15B1 head on a D16Z6 short block with stock head gasket will result in dropping the compression ratio down to about 8.5:1 due to the big dish on the Z6 pistons - you could use a thinner head gasket and get the compression ratio up to about 8.8:1 - still not very good
