d16 into a 94 dx

    ok here is the deal i need help i put a D16Z6 into a 1994 civic dx 30,000 miles on the motor it has a very bad problem with blow by enough to blow oil out of the oil cap when it is off i have done a compression test on each cylinder there is about 130lbs each ok the last problem it runs awesome but when you gas on it it smokes a little bit and smells like gas please help

    What's your question specifically?

    The D16Z6 is a straight bolt-in swap to your car. You can re-use your old transmission if you want, although I'd recommend upgrading to the Z6's tranny while you're at it.

    All you're going to need to do here is add some wires for VTEC (you can buy a VTEC sub-harness from Rywire for $40 if you want)and swap out the DX ECU for a P28.
