Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. So this is my situation..

I was given a 1996 Hatchback Civic DX , with a blown motor. I want to swap the D16Y7 with a D15B OBD2 NON-VTEC engine.

From what I have read, not many people know if this engine exists in OBD2, but it exists: Tiger Japanese - Home (sorry i don't know how to make the text into a link).

So my questions are ..

1--->WILL the D16Y7 ECU work for the JDM D15B? ***they are both non-vtec and both OBD2***

2---> Can anyone please guide me the right way, since there is not much information on this specific JDM D15B obd2 nonvtec swap?

Any and Every comment is appreciated , ignorant or informing, all are welcome :)

Thanks in Advance

1--> yes. you may want to use your y7 intake and exhaust manifolds. they suck, but they have the sensors you ecu will want to work with.
2-->out with the old, in with the new. the heads are the same, and the blocks are very similar. many importers recommend them for replacing the y7
