d16y7/z6 mini me swap ?

I have a 90 hatch std w/mpfi conversion done already and want to do a mini me swap. i have a d16z6 head and wanted to know if i could use a d16y7 block? If i can do i have to run oil to the vtec solenoid (like ls/vtec)? Is it just like doing a regular mini me swap or is there more to it? What is the main difference between a sohc vtec block and a non vtec block besides internals. Are the blocks different sizes?

Well, technically a "mini-me" is taking that z6 head and putting it on your 1.5l block.
Search around for "mini me" on Honda-tech and on here, theres a great write up somewhere..

Well, technically a "mini-me" is taking that z6 head and putting it on your 1.5l block.

Not really- most people use the term to define any non-VTEC to VTEC SOHC D series head swap, regardless of which bottom end the head is being put on.
