found something that has VTEC and i wanna put it in and the motor is the D16Y8 will that drop right into my 90 Honda Civic Hatchback? with out swapping tranny? i have a couple people telling me it will bolt right in is it true?

You can use the transmission you have, just make sure you use the stock engines mounts, y8 mount's wont work. you'll need an obd1 distributor though, as well as an obd0-obd1 ecu jumper and a stock p28, or a chipped obd1 ecu with a y8 basemap.

not a prob. actually now that i think about it you can use the obd2 dizzy, but you have to swap the obd2 plugs for obd1 plugs.
