Hey is d16y8 a vtec? if so, u can put a d16y8 head and a d16y7 bottom right? and it'll still pass smog? cuz my car is a automatic and im planning to convert it to a stick ...im wondering if it will pass smog.

You can put the head on yes, but i dont think it will pass smog, as it will pass visual, but im not too sure, something like you have to have it smogged for the engine in the car, and they will go by the engine block i believe.
Who knows, i never have to go through any of that bullshit.

the head definitely fits...as for smog...you got me...yall that need a state ref are usually SOL if your engine isnt stock, or a motor that honda ACTUALLY SELLS.
