d16yz replacement for d16z6

hello ...maybe someone can help me out

i have a 94 civic ex with the d16z6 motor which is blown
i have a chance to buy a d16y7 motor .. WILL THIS WORK
ive looked up the specs on the d16y7 motor and it says it has vtec
i get on some of there forums and i read that it does not

is this swap possible YES or NO
if yes what is involves or is it a direct plug and play

i have never swap a motor in a forigen car before thats why im on here asking questions

please someone give me a strait answer ... i dont want a round about bulls**t answer

it will work and mount right up, but the d16y7 is a non vtec motor and its obd2,and your car is obd1, so your gona have to do a little wiring to get it all to work, if i was you i would just buy a jdm d15b from Specializing in JDM-USDM Engines & Parts...hmotorsonline.com
