I am putting two motors together to make a decent daily driver. My '92 Civic EX, D16Z6 block lost a rod a spit it out. I bought a D16A6 for the lower end and was going to use my Z6 head. Great idea but when the Z6 blew, the piston kissed the head and bent two valves. I have the A6 head still, can its valves be used as a donor even though it is not vtec? I want to keep the car a vtec and will not be hot rodding. I also am a mechanic, just wanting to know if the valves are the same between the two types of heads.
