d16z6 block on a d15?

i blew my headgasket on my d15 in my civic dx and i ended up throwing a rod through my block. so my question is will a d16z6 block work on the d15 head with no problems cause i found a full block for $75.

The comression is going to go down or it will stay the same with the dish z6 piston but it will work. What happen to the rod? did you hydrolock the engine?

i threw the rod out the front side of the block. so theres a big whole in it now. what head gasket should i use, d15 or d16?

doesn't matter if its a oe fel-pro type gasket just make sure it s 75 mm in the bore I think you can use on of a d16y8 to help rasie the comp back up 98 civic vetc ex

98 civic ex its multi-layered-steel. ( the good kind) I'm thinking of getting one 29$
