hi,

I have a d15B vtec engine on my 1999 hatch
I was trying to get a performanced camsahft , I cant find it for a d15B just for d16Z6,

So Im thinking to replace the d15b vtec head for a d16z6 Head.
So I can buy a d16z6 crower camsahft stage 2 , springs ..
Im thinking in a p28 ecu also

So Im asking for your advise, what Do you think about it, can be Done?
1.- Do I have to make some modifications, like oil lines?
2.- Can I use the D16y8 head gasket in this swap?
3.- what timing belt Do I have to Use?
4.- Do I have to put the d16z6 Distributor?

Thanks for readind this post.

please if you know any thread or information about how to do the swap , pictures I will apreciate if you copy/paste the link in this post

Do I need adjustable cams

I have heard that I have to put some adjustable cam gear if I use the z6 camshaft, is this correct?

thanks

if its the 96+ OBDII D15B VTEC, forget about it. That engine is 3-stage VTEC and there's no other engine that uses that or an ECU that can control it. If its the 92-95 D15B VTEC, then yea the Z6 parts is correct(same head casting, etc.)
