Hi first off I have a 1992 Civic lx (Manual Transmission) 104,000 miles, stock. I would like to make it quicker. Currently its sortive a pain to drive up hills well you know the rest (stock d15b7 engine). Here is what I was thinking I could just slap a d16z6 head onto my d series engine, will this work as easily as one might think?
Also, a list of parts im pretty sure I would need:
1.d16z6 head
2.ecu from a 92-95 si,ex
3.wiring harness from 92-95 si,ex
4.gaskets?
If there is more please inform me too.
Another question with the d16z6 engine the redline is at 7200rpm I think. With my current engine it redlines at about 6400rpms. Would I be able to rev upto 7200 with just the d16z6 head on it? Or will the block be able to handle that high of an rpm? Also, would I see significant gains from this swap?
Thanks
Evan
