    Hey guys,

My buddy hit the tow hitch of a truck in front of him and damaged his radiator support, radiator, and a few other things (those are the biggest of issues for him right now)

Anyways, he needs a new radiator support. Any suggestions as to where he can go?

He was checking out radiators as well, and saw that is you buy a Mishimoto radiator, you get a free set of Drop engineering close ended lug nuts free for cyber Monday (so it is today only I presume). He saw this on Mach V Motorposrts. Here's the link to their site if any one was interested!

depending how bad it is, you can always go to a u-pull and get a radiatior support. last one i did we used a sawzall to remove the one from the yard, and welded it back near the seams, to try to make it look as factory as possible. other option is to just buy a parts car, and use the front clip.

you can buy a new core support for around 150. and all you got to do is drill out the spot welds, and then re-weld the spots back in, i have heard its not to hard. I was going to attempt it once but never did.

my advice to you is this:

do NOT buy an aftermarket replacement core support. the front end will never be the same.

True story. You never want to steer away from OEM when it comes to a radiator support. Find a straight one in a salvage yard. Drill out the spot welds and tack in the new support. Make sure that your ENTIRE front end lines up before you permanently weld the support in. That means hang your bumper, fenders and hood for good fitment. You dont want to have to hack it off the car again to get it right. If you want to say some cash buy an aftermarket front clip. It shouldnt be more than a couple hundred bucks if you go through someone like Keystone.

"close enough" is not good enough for some.

i like the gaps/clearances on the front end to be uniform and true. as close to OEM as possible.
