ON the radio this morning a former counter-terrorism official at the CIA said that this was not a very credible warning. That this was more a CYA move than an actual threat. The problem with that is, with the government calling wolf so often what happens when people stop believing the warnings?

That citibank building is a couple blocks from my building...I came in this morning to a fleet of fire trucks blocking off a huge chunk of 6th Ave. I'm all about "life as usual" but if anything happens @ that building I'm fucked.

it just keeps leading me to believe that bush is trying to scare america into thinking we had a reason to go to war and get votes

    ...in Jersey!

    :bawling:

I'm not going to let this ruin my day-to-day life. If something happens or is going to happen, I can't do shit about it except pay attention to my surroundings and "report suspicious behavior". If they strike, they strike.

if martial law were imposed Bush would be killed rather quickly
it would be another civil war

either way he is a fucking moron and so are the people who believe him
i really dont understand how grown people fall for this shit and how a kid like myself can see right thru it

Now... I just read that this 'alert' was in response to the arrest of a man in Pakistan who had evidence that attacks may happen.

Pakistan? OH! You mean Pakistan! The place that wired money to Mohammed Atta, one of the main guys involved with the 9/11 attacks. The place that has admitted to selling nuclear weapons on the black market.

The place that W has turned a blind eye to.

Once again, why are we in Iraq?

"weapon of mass confusion" has a better ring to it than "weapon of mass stupidity"
