That sucks. I know he was sick last season (or was it the season before?) and didn't even go out to sea.

The entire fishing lifestyle is not healthy.
lack of sleep
poor eating
lots of smoking
exposed to elements all the time

He was a good guy though, and i'm sure his two boys will carry on in his stead.

i cant imagine how hard it has to be as a captain....i dont think they ever sleep
 
i heard about a week ago that he collapsed while off loading the ship and was air lifted

unfortunate he didn't pull through

I wouldn't be suprised if it was another embolism like he had a couple years ago. Once those things get through your lungs and into your brain a stroke normally is the result.

That's a very tough lifestyle to live.
 
i expecting it too. but he was a fun guy to watch.

a lady at work told me about this today and i immediately knew it was him. he was in BAD health on the show. he seemed like a cool cat.
