Del Sol H22 Swap, SHIFTER NOT SHIFTING

So my friend got the h22 into the del sol, and everything is in..

then finds out the shifter won't shift...

he says the only think he can think of... is that the hole from the firewall into the engine compartment isn't giving enough clearance.

the del sol and eg are a little different when it comes to getting the shifter linkage... any ideas from people who have done the swap or familiar with it?

Considering the H22A uses a cable shifter....

Have someone manipulate the shifter and another person just check under the hood to see if it's functioning correctly.

Can't have too much slack and also make sure you have them secured with both clips on the holding bracket.

i agree, check your clips. then your clutch pedal/slave/master cylinder. you may also have the cables backwards(i dunno if its even possible)
