del sol trunk light

My del sol trunk light has been out since I purchased it and decided to investigate and found that it is not hooked up, no wire no nothing. If i rig up a wire to make it work, what would i hook it too. What would have been the factory way?

i don't have a del sol but there is a main wiring harness that handles the interior electronic system; you'd tie into that. you should see it pretty easily after removing an interior body panel or two. unless the person who sold you the car had the interior rewired, odds are good that the wire is still back there somewhere. digger up!

the wire on my del sol snapped out of the light holder in the trunk. It seemed very brital and might have been a common problem with the del sol. At the end of the wiring, it was constantly sparking(not good) so i removed it. Maybe that is what that person who owned it before you did
