The Del Sol is going to be getting a new bottom end this spring/summer so I figured I would share the progress of the build. Im still going to be running the same log/t25 kit that I currently have, just a built bottom end and new head until I buy a GT28r. I will be posting progress pictures of the build and parts as they come.

Here is the plan so far:

    D16z6 block/head - Check
    - Bored, Honed, Decked, Hot tanked, Notched for Rods
    - Valve Job, Resurfaced

    Eagle/FJT Rods - Still looking
    75.5 Vitaras - Easily Available
ACL Rod Bearings - On the Way
ACL Main Bearings - On the Way
ACL Thrust Washers - On the Way
OEM Water Pump - On the Way
OEM Oil Pump - Need to Order
OEM Full Gasket Kit - Need to Order

    Onward to the pictures...

The block was insanely dirty and grimy when it came into my possession. The tear down N' bagging process only took about 20 minutes but from there it was just a matter of getting it somewhat clean before the machine shop gets it. Big thanks to Brandon for helping with a little Cuda action. BTW Wheel Etching for cleaning a block goes a long ways...

The walls seem to be pretty decent when I got it, but I'm not going to risk anything so I will just take them out to 75.5 mm so I have the peace of mind.

As much chemical and cleaning as we did the block is still kinda 'barnacle like.' I will have to scrub it and see how it looks after the hot tanking by the machine shop. If its not bling'in...Ill have to just paint it.

Everything with the internals of the block look perfect. Mmm clean.

    A disassemble tool must.
