did the obd1 preludes have hydro transmissions? i thoght i read somewhere that they were only available in cable...

?
 
the trans is hydro.... the "cable" in question is the Shift linkages... they do not have a solid linkage like a Civic... they have 2 cables that run from the shifter to the tranny..."hydro" means how the clutch is engaged...

i can see how it could be questionable

No, transmissions can be cable-actuated as well, like some of the B-series trannies.

All F-series and H-series engines use hydraulic transmissions. They never came with cable trannies.

Edit: EGLSHB, I see what you mean now. Transmissions can be either hydro or cable, and shift linkages can be either solid or cable. Later Prelude/Accord engines all had hydro trannies with cable shifters.
