dimming headlights and dash lights and car studder

I need help guys, on the drive home tonight, my headlights and dash lights would get dimmer then go back to normal brightness, while that was happening, when i hit the gas the car would studder slightly...??? I have no clue what to do for this.......any ideas on whats happening? My temp gauge also seems to move up and down slightly.

It's a 92 civic si with a B20/vtec

sounds like an alternator thats about to shit itself

a lot of parts stores will have stuff to test the cars electrical system
