Distributor has to be advanced all the way?

I was having issues with my car when i got it back from having the timing belt replaced and i had to advance the timing for the car to run right. I'm just wondering why all of a sudden i have to have the distributor pretty much furthest it will go towards the firewall. Is there something that i need to look at or is it no big deal?

sounds to me like the cam timing is off - probably one tooth

same thing happened to me when i finished my b16 swap, your off one tooth.
