I need help wiring an OBD0 harness to an OBD2 distributor, or to make a short story long:

I put an OBD2, SOHC V-tec d16 motor into my '91 Civic for the simple reason that I got the Civic for cheap and good motor for cheaper. With help from my older brother and his friends, we got the motor bolted in and almost everything hooked up. Our first problem was getting fuel. We replaced the ECU and solved that problem. Then we could get no fire. They had used the distributor from the motor that came in the car (an OBD1 put in by a previous owner, no good), but that distributor seemed to be no good. They put in an OBD2 distributor but the wire clips don't plug together, so they chopped the wires, planning to reattach the wiring harness to an OBD2 plug, but the colors dont match, and the harness has two wires less. Any information is much appreciated.

you cannot run an obd1 or 2 distributor off an obd 0- ecu, and vice verssa.

best bet, go obd1 all across... ecu, dizzy, etc...
