    A quick search revealed nothing.
Has anyone seen this yet? I've heard nothing but good stuff about it, and can't wait to check it out tomorrow.

I just came back from seeing it not 10 minutes ago.

Was fantastic! Not at the top, but it's one of the best movies I've seen in several years.

I'm usually right there with you. I don't go to the movies often, prefer to watch on my home theatre. I'm actually excited enough about this one to go see it. If it's good enough I'll even buy the Bluray when it's released instead of renting.

Son went sat and saw it. said it was good, not as good as transformers but he said i got my moneys worth. His synopsis of the movie showed an interesting plot using the aliens and their tech and how we would take it for our own evil purposes

I saw it last night, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I would wait for the DVD. You go in there expecting something amazing and walk out disappointed. The beginning was slow, and only a few minutes of action.

That's coming up alot... My brother went in expecting it to be amazing based on all the reviews and was disappointed as well. I went in not being sure it would be very good and thought it was great. So don't set your sights too high when you go in and think it'll be the best movie EVAR, and you'll love it. :)

Movie of the moment is GI Joe. If you haven't seen it, go see it. Best movie to come out in the last 5 years.

District 9 was really good. Saw it last night in theaters. I usually DL everything but this was worth actually seeing.

I liked G.I.Joe, but I don't think I'd go so far as to say "best movie in the last 5 years". Best popcorn movie in recent years maybe...

I have never heard a good thing about GI Joe, not a single one. From professional 'critics' to other forums, to friends who have seen it. I may Netflix it. I did just get back from seeing D9, and it's one of the better films that I've seen in quite some time. This, and I wouldn't consider myself a scifi fan. The parallels to Apartheid, and how the Prawns were treated is very well done. The alien weaponry is awesome, especially the mech towards the end. Also, the special effects were top notch for only costing $30M to make. If you haven't seen it, see it.

If you just view it as a mindless summer popcorn flick, then it's good stuff. If you're looking for something with any depth to it though, then it's probably not for you...

Really? All I see is dissapointment leaving the theater, and I did watch some of it. The special effects are right up there with those of spy kids and twilight.

That makes sense. I liked crappy movies at that age too.

As far as GI Joe goes, I'll give it a shot. It's just that all I've been hearing is that the acting is middle school play caliber, the dialogue was terrible and the plot sucked. Not to mention as stated before the cgi supposedly is terrible. I'll try it out, but since phyregod os the first person I've ever heard say anything positive about it, I'm skeptical at best.

I wouldn't call it terrible. Obviously the plot is somewhat non-existent, and it dragged on way too long, but the special effects alone make it worth watching...
