In my search for creating a cost effective, reliable, and low profile turbo kit, I have come to the issue of the Intercooler.
I'm not looking for a huge front mount intercooler that would attract attention from everyone that would walk by the car. I'm not looking for an air-to-water intercooler because of the weight penalty, plus I don't intend on making tons of power with engine.
I remembered reading an article on http://www.nissansilvia.com about substituting other stock intercoolers in replacement for the rathy impish SR20DET Stock Intercooler.
I would think if you could swap out a Silvia Intercooler and replace it with another intercooler from a different car, the same would apply to making a DIY Turbo Kit.
Would it be feasible to use the JZA80 2JZGTE Stock Intercooler into a turbo kit that will see WHP Numbers of 200-250hp?
