Dizzy swap

I know this sounds stupid butt!! Dizzy in 1990 crx si locked up. new one is $160.00 but I aim to swap motor soon anyway. I have a 1989(still obd0) dx dizzy that is good but the plug is different. can i wire it in just to use save the 160.00 for later. looks like it has one less wire than the si .

what do you mean locked up the shaft is broke or the rotor only fires on one cyl??

No the dx dizzy won't work. The si dizzy has a cyl sensor in it and the dx dosen't.

quess that explains the extra wire. as far as being locked up the bearing next to the rotor button burned up. melted the rotor button it got so hot

SI=3 sensors, DX =2 sensors
