i was wondering if i need to tap an oil line into the block for the D16Z6 swap. i have heard that in other swaps like LS-VTEC that you have to tap and oil line to the block. i have also heard that they are pretty unreliable, so i was just wondering if i need to do this before i finish getting the rest of the parts i need. i already have the head, fuel rail, intake manifold and wiring harness. as far as i know all i need is the ecu, distributor, timing belt and oil control jet. any help is greatly appreciated.

if i do need to tap the oil line, do you think i would be better off just doing an obd1 ls swap into my 94 cx? i really am looking to not spend TOO much on a swap, but 70 hp just isn't doing it for me.

no. swaps are built to run right from honda. the lsvtec is a home-made motor and thats why it require modifications.
