So this weekend I'm flying out to Chicago with a friend for a wedding. We were talking about bag fees and how crazy they can get. So looking at Spirits website, they give you the option of a "personal bag" aka a pocket book or small backpack. I joked that I'm going to pack everything in a backpack, then just iron it when I get there. Then just joking around, I said, maybe I'll just wear everything.

    Think Joey...

I think it would be entertaining, but I also don't want to be cavity searched.

Do it, but the airline will probably slap you with a $50 extra clothing fee. If something happened where you couldn't fly Chicago ain't that bad of a drive.

    I assume you're joking, but I bet that's a real thing.

And fuck that drive. I did Pittsburgh last weekend and that is about my limit. I cant imagine driving through Ohio being anymore entertaining then PA.

I would be a little long, but if you needed to drive there then its doable.

12 hours. My flight is at 10pm Friday. If they "no fly listed" me and I left from the airport, drove straight through, I'd get there in some piss soaked pants, starving to death, falling asleep, with just about an hour before the wedding started.

Would make for one hell of a story to tell at the wedding though, haha.

youll be fine loading it all in to a backpack... i do that all the time for short trips
they really cant give you shit about wearing extra clothes to lower the amount of stuff you need to pack/check, you might need to deal with a little extra attention and answer some drooling retards questions as to why you are wearing so much shit
but its probably not going to be a comfortable flight wearing 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants lol

as to the TSA having anything even remotely resembling a sense of humor... nope
fuckers take themselves entirely too serious
bunch of useless security theater sack touching douche nozzles

as as far as the drive goes its not Ohio or PA you need to worry about its Indiana (zzzzzzZZZZZzzzzz)

I consistently forget that Indiana exists, let alone remember that it's on the way to Chicago.

Didn't actually read it at first glance. Very good right up about driving through PA. Sad thing is, we took a different route. PA Turnpike/76. Although you could copy and paste your description. NOTHING in the middle of that state. I always tell my Pitt friends that they just need to get rid of the middle and be 4 hours closer.

Yeah but you could stop here and have a beverage.

I can't foresee you being even remotely comfortable temperature wise in that many layers.

    Oh. :(

Haha, I forgot you were from Indiana. I actually have friends in Ohio too that said I should drive so I can stop. I love a good road trip, but there just wouldn't be enough time between leaving today around 5-6p and the wedding tomorrow. Assume no hiccups and it takes 12 hours exactly, I'd be getting there around 6a having not slept in about 24 hours. Then stay up because I'd crash for too long if I attempted to sleep, go to the wedding, stay up until the sun comes up, I'd be the Joker by Sunday night.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll take a road trip vacation in the spring and drive around couch hopping, haha.

As far as this thread goes, my stuff for the weekend actually fit in a backpack very easily. Even had room for a pair of sneakers. I'm wearing my suit, because it will get less wrinkled than if it was in my bag. Just hope my backpack falls under the limits for personal and doesn't get bumped to carry on. Whatever.

Well that was one hell of a weekend... Bank account took a sizable hit, and that's before I replace the cell phone that didn't make the trip back. 2 days later and I'm still hungover. I don't think I'm drinking again until like 2014.
