Ok Im pissed, my moms b/f keeps getting on the computer and going through my files, i have a folder dedicated to me, my photchop crap porn etc etc... it pisses me off that he goes through this and opens shit up. Is there some way i can put a password on this folder and this folder alone, any progs...
 
I'd just stash it deep in a sub folder somewhere on your C drive, in something he wouldn't use like microsoft excel or something
 
im sure there is, but its easier to just relocate your file somewhere else under a different name..... label it something like advanced, or something he wont want to fuck with
 
you could make the folder hidden. that way when hes on the computer he cant see it. but when you get on just un-hide files and view it.

That's what I do to keep my silbings off my shit.

Just set the screen saver for 1 minute. Gets annoying sometimes, but nonetheless, they don't (can't) fuck with my shit anymore. :)
 
well its my main folder i use it a lot. i dont want to hide it deep. i already have stuff hidden in there, but that will do no good because he knows how to unhide crap. screen saver password, nah that annoys me, plus all he has to do is restart the comp.
 
just kick him in the fuckin head next time he tries to use your PC
if that doesnt stop him smash his fuckin hands with a 3lb hammer he wont be typing shit for a while
 
I would just stash it in a prog file and label it someodd .dll or something.
 
i have all my shit hidden and my nosey ass GF has never found anything. most of the time people wont fuck with folders that they aren't familiar with so just make up a name that sound like something that runs the computer. And dont put it on the C: drive cuz if you have a shit load of pics or videos, then you will fill it up. its better to partition the drive and put ur shit on the other drive.

winzip and lock a folder
brachy or something like that. it's a program that hides any type of file into an image file and if you have the decrypter, you need to enter a password.

no way, go old school, when ur done doing your shit just take the keyboard and mouse and hide em some where.

he can't use the computer if he dosn't have a keyboard or mouse.

i had to do that with my dreamcast controllers when i lived at home with 5 brothers.

the only problem with hiding files in non-descript folders is that any idiot can do a search for *.jpg* using the search function, or checking the temp. int. files....
