Does ys1 from b18 tranny bolt onto a b16a?

My y1 tranny has had it and I can buy a car with a good ys1 tranny. Will it fit? is it a good tranny? thanks.

All b-series transmissions are interchangeable, so yes

as long as its hydro -> hydro and cable -> cable.

Otherwise you'll need a new linkage.
