how about getting the big free standing as you mentioned, B and with anything left over, donate to a charity such as the American Heart Association. thats what im suggesting.

Hey B i don't have a paypal account but i really want to send some money to help with anything. Is there anyway i could send you a MO for a charity donation? Since i highly doubt you would get the MO by funeral time for the floral arrangements.

you don't need an account to send money..... you can use a credit card for a 1-time payment. Surely you know someone with a card if you don't have one (mom? dad? g/f, etc...).

dealing with checks/the mail is just not really prudent and unfortunately i don't have time for it this week with my interviews and dentist appointments

I'll pass you a few bucks on Sat after I sell something at the yard sale, right now my bank is floating on empty...and I think the rest of the money after the flowers should go to the family for other funeral expences...

Not to sound too corny...but I could donate a part or a turbo or something that some people express intrerest in...and hold a raffle saturday for it, and all proceeds goes to B for this fundraiser.

money sent. I just wish i could do more. Deaths are so hard on people emotionally and economically. Shit costs so much these days.

this still hasnt sunk in....im self centered and the thought that we have lost such a good person just really upsets me. no one could have been more selfless or caring than bob.

RIP Bro.

we want to be careful not to get the biggest arrangement there... we dont want to overshadow the relatives and such

I agree. Small arrangment, and give every left over to his family. They make a donation to cancer research, it may help with funeral arrangments.

I would be more proud to stand behind that than a flower arrangment.

word. i don't even know the guy and i'm touched by the whole thing. its shit like this that makes you re-evaluate your life.

here i am complaining about memorizing equations and bitching about "all the work i have to do" when there are people with real problems.

Yeah. Hondaswap was where he tried to get his dream of his car project done through. I remember when his job let him go after one of his operations / procedures. That's when I first learned of his condition. that was about 3 months ago.

It was a struggle for him - he had his healtcare taken care of, but it was tough for him to find work with insurance (Pre existing conditions and all) and under-the-table jobs let him go when they learned of it. He couldn't get a break - and all he wanted was to have fun with a Honda. That's what pains me about Bob. A decent guy given a really shitty deck of cards.

I mean his employer let him go simply because of the pains he had to deal with in life. Were an employer ever to can me because of my surgeries, I would go ballistic. His patience was virtue derived at necessity.

RIP Bob

i haven't been on here lately since i'm Deployed, but in the short time that i was able to read some of his posts i was able to see that he was a happy person who kept his head high even though he had his complications. It's sad to see someone so young lose their life. But as many of you have said already, he is now in a better place, and he doesn't have to deal with the pain anymore.

money sent. even though i never knew Bob personally, i still feel a loss just because, like others already said, he was such a positive and happy person. It sucks that life sometimes deals the shittiest hand to the people who value life the most.

RIP Bob
